Day 1 Post 2, 75% Umbria, 25% Tuscany

After our aperitivo on the terrace of the Falconiere, we left for a walk and dinner in the center of Cortona.🌅

I was having a work emergency which interrupted us every half hour, but the evening was still delightful.❤️

We explored Cortona’s steep streets and views and had dinner at atmospheric La Loggetta, a lovely spot overlooking the piazza.

Views towards Umbria which I was already missing….

Spectacular Antipasto platter
Savory broccoli flan
Cacio e pepe with black truffle
Risotto with saffron and zucchini

Pate on bread – I forgot what a strong flavor Tuscan pate has… I’ve become quite accustomed to the delightful mildness of Umbrian pate…highly recommend you try the Umbrian version and I’ll even give you the secret as to how it’s made 😉

Then an after dinner drink of Sicilian lemon amaro back at the Falconiere. Dreamy way to end the night….🥂
